Central, newly refurbished, bright and cozy 1-bedroom apartment in Praia da Luz.
This central 1-bedroom apartment in Praia da Luz is composed of a living room with dining area, kitchen, storage room, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and a small balcony. It perfectly suits the needs of an individual traveller or a couple. The apartment benefits a partial sea-view, facing south and is literally 30 linear metres from the ocean. For this reason, it’s very bright, ventilated and warm all day long. There’s an AC unit in the bedroom that works as a heater during winter. There’s another heater in the bathroom. The central 1-bedroom apartment in Praia da Luz is located on a ground-floor and was refurbished in May 2019 with new furniture, decorations, utensils, bed sheets, etc. It comes with all the comforts (fully equipped kitchen, 49′ flat smart TV, Yamaha soundbar, Apple TV, fast internet, new towels, bed sheets, etc.). All utility bills are paid separately, including the internet which is provided by a portable wifi that can be taken when going out, if necessary.
Car parking is not an issue, there’s literally a hundred free parking spots in a 100 meter radius from home. A vehicle is actually not needed as the apartment is only a short walk from the beaches (5 minutes to a long sandy beach), supermarkets, shops, restaurants, bars, cinema, pharmacy, taxi rank, bus stop, car hire and banks.
The bedroom is about 16 sqm and it is equipped with a large queen size double bed (160cm x 200cm), two bedside tables, a dresser, a small bed for babies (60cm x 120cm) and another piece of furniture with shelves. A built-in wardrobe with 4 drawers and a hanger bar is located just outside the bedroom.
The windows are double glazed for better heat and sound insulation.
Praia da Luz, located 1 hour or 100 km west of the airport of Faro, was originally a traditional fishing village. It is the largest of a triad of fishing villages between Lagos and Sagres. It has transformed itself into one of the most desirable small town or large coastal villages in the Algarve. Initially a firm favourite of the English ex-patriot community, recent years have seen the arrival of residents and visitors from multiple countries, and it currently is one of the, if not the, most multinational locations in the region, by population size.
There are lots of restaurants, cafés and shops along the promenade, which runs behind the beach. Inside the town itself and spread around the main street Rua Direita, visitors and residents will find two large supermarkets, a pharmacy, post office, cafés and take-away restaurants, bakeries, and also a range of other expected amenities. Including a store selling alternative and organic food products.
